Wow wow wow!! Never have I ever had such a delicious pastry! Everything we had (rhubarb Danish, almond croissant, chocolate croissant, passionfruit donut & bagel) was absolutely divine. I freaked out and at the last second and chose the rhubarb danish. I was worried about my choice but didn't need to be, it was something special and I enjoyed every bite. Thanks guys and we will be back if in the area! (No photos, devoured everything too quickly!)
The coffee was an artistic presentation, and pizza white anchovies olives and mozzarella sour dough , reminded me of Italy. Joe is the owner and delight to have a chat with. Opened since 2018. A little secret in Braidwood.

Stopped on the way through from Canberra and the atmosphere is so nice, they put so much care into there pastries, the staff made everyone feel welcome and were super quick 🍕🥐☕
We can’t believe what we just ate as we stopped off at casanovas as we always do. There is always something different and delicious to try. Today we had a pumpkin spinach and feta and leek pie. Magnificent how do they make that taste so good. Incredible. We’ve tried food in many locations here and overseas and this was next level. Well done guys
Another superb meal here, just can't beat this place for both excellent food and excellent service. Today I had the Roast Chicken Sandwich, and I can tell you calling it that does not do it justice! Deb, my wife, had her usual French Toast (Autumn version, with stewed apple) and my sister had the Breakfast Garden Bowl, which she said was great. This place is consistently great! We had a late breakfast, hear today. This was probably our 10th visit. I had the Potatoe Rosti, which is served with, smoked salmon, eggs the way you like them and spinach fried off with pastasios. I have had this before, and the flavours are consistently excellent! See the photo. Also the coffee here is s always excellent. All this with excellent service. Don't miss the opportunity to try out this place, if you are in Braidwood.
Stopped in at Casanova Café and it was absolutely worth it. The coffee is excellent — rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. I had the trout on rye with pickles, which was outstanding: fresh, balanced flavours and great texture. The chicken salad was also delicious, generous, and well put together. Warm service, good atmosphere, and consistently great food. A hearty recommendation.
I had a wonderful leek, mozzarella and gorgonzola with crispy pancetta pizza for lunch. It was probably enough for two people because it filled me up and it was so very delicious. I was in Braidwood for a photography class field trip and the staff were so helpful in letting me take photographs inside their character-filled venue. The place had a lovely cottage vibe, complemented by the friendly service. I would definitely recommend Casanova’s for lunch.
Highly recommended. We’ve decided to have lunch at the place before continue on our journey, and everything was just great. Unfortunately, they have only one pizza left, otherwise we would have ordered two instead. But apart from the pizza, everything else we ordered (slow braised red wine beef ragu, roast pumpkin with chickpeas, and zucchini spinach lemon tart) were also delightful. Do not hesitate. Dine here and be mesmerized just like us!
